Mikhail Orda Made Report at V All-Belarusian People’s Assembly

“It’s an absolutely reasonable argument that increasing of a salary level is only possible through increased labour productivity. Today we can see that huge amounts of money are invested in modernization of a number of companies, new equipment is purchased, but labour productivity is several times lower than in different countries with the same equipment. So what is missing? Properly speaking there are not enough professional skills.” – pointed out the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB) in his speech.

According to his words, professional skills should be acquired not only in universities, but also in everyday life. “If you want to be good and demanded specialist, you must constantly improve your professional skills. It should become our everyday practice and must enter into our consciousness.” – thinks the FTUB Chairman. He pointed out that in economically developed countries 80% of workers are involved in programs of constant retraining and advanced training throughout their careers. “I think we also need this kind of experience while implementing the planned program for the next five years.” – Mikhail Orda said. FTUB Chairman emphasized that every worker in the country should have an effective workplace with decent salaries and working conditions. “In this regard, we certainly support the project theses of the social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus program on the provision of effective employment. And we understand that economy today needs transformations.” – he noticed.
